This purifier challenges industry norms with a breakthrough promise: no filter replacements, ever. Designed around a long-life filtration system, the unit requires only occasional maintenance—just wipe down the pre-filters on the left and right sides. This project focused on communicating that simplicity through form, interaction, and visual clarity.
Centralized UI + Odor Control
The central interface offers full control over the purifier—adjust fan speed or enable auto mode, dim or disable the LEDs, apply child lock, set a sleep timer, and cycle through real-time air quality metrics. At the top, an odor neutralizer puck lets users dial scent control up, down, or off with a simple twist—providing customizable air freshness alongside purification.
Front View + At-a-Glance Feedback
The front-facing UI features a glowing light ring that communicates air quality at a glance—providing a far-read visual cue that adapts in real time. Flanking the central interface, the subtly contoured side “cheeks” house the easily accessible pre-filters, designed for simple wipe-down maintenance.
Air Quality Light Ring + Numeric Feedback
A glowing light ring encircles the front UI, providing instant, color-coded air quality feedback—blue for clean, amber for fair, and red for hazardous conditions. Inside the ring, a segmented display shows a precise numeric readout from 0% to 100% clean air, offering both quick visual cues and detailed clarity.
